Alaina McGill is an Associate at Trident, contributing to complex strategic communications initiatives across sectors. She supports client teams through media relations, industry research, crisis communications, and public affairs.

Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Alaina graduated summa cum laude from Georgetown University with degrees in Government and English. At Georgetown, she served as President of the Georgetown Gracenotes, the university’s premier all-female a cappella group. For her Senior Honors Thesis, Alaina examined public attitudes toward felon voting rights in the United States through original survey research, receiving the Government Department Award for her work. Previously, Alaina served as a Press Intern in the Office of Senator Richard J. Durbin and as a Government Relations Intern with Bracewell LLP’s Policy Resolution Group.

Outside of work, Alaina enjoys hiking, reading, exploring D.C.’s food scene, and listening to live music.
